New marketers can build relationships with sales
I speak to Owain Wood about how new marketers can build their relationship with the sales team, and why data is so important. Owain is Head of Marketing at Harnham after moving around the recruitment field over his career.
Unlike many other, Owain believes his sales and marketing teams have a great relationship. After being in recruitment for 11 years, he has seen a massive change in marketers presence in the industry with there being near enough no existence when he was starting out.
It’s all about finding who is bought into marketing among the team and getting the old school mindsets bought in.
He was shocked by the statistic that over 50% of marketers have a bad relationship with their sales team, but this very much depends for him and his team on an individual basis.
